As we enter a new era of 5th generation platforms and ubiquitous ISR coverage, we expect to reap the benefits of a richer set of ISR data and gain better insights into battlespace activity. However, we must be prepared to deal with the massive data growth if forces are not to be swamped with information, potentially missing miss leads not realising improvements in Situational Awareness. This session will explore how technology can enable military staff to better exploit information: creating a new tier of analytical capability to augment that of the dedicated intelligence organisations. It will demonstrate technology accessible to non-specialists for fusing ISR information from multiple sources creating a Common Operating Picture for all.
